I no longer purchase cell phones without this warranty or one similar!! It’s a way better deal than paying monthly to your phone company, especially if your phone last 4 years!! You’ve done bought a new phone 4 times. They make it extremely easy to file a claim. Definitely buy this if you’re purchasing a phone, tv, power tools, etc. Nothing is made to last now a days!! I had a t.v. just 16 days short of 3 years old, the led strips burnt out and I was able to get a brand new t.v. because of these warranties!! Peace of mind is worth a one time payment!! Trust me.

This isn’t a complete scam – just 80% scam. The process to submit a claim involves utterly unnecessary steps clearly designed to discourage people from actually using their warranty – for instance, after clicking on a link in the email from Asurion I was taken to a page where I was required to print, scan, and upload an image that same email as evidence that I had purchased the plan. Then, instead of replacement or repair, I find that I will be getting “reimbursed” by means of an email with a barcode that I can supposedly print, take to a store, and have the clerk scan to pay for things. WTF!!?? I have never ever heard of such a thing. This company makes using the warranty you purchased so difficult and inconvenient that many people will never use it – which is their business model. Stick with SquareTrade when you can – Asurion is terrible.
