Does this phone have a speakerphone capability?
Answer: No. Just plain vanilla landline phone.
How do you turn the ringer down? The only option I see on the phone is an unbelievably loud ringer or turn the ringer off.

Unfortunately my phone must be defective. The box states it has a volume control button. It does NOT. I do NOT even have a button to turn off. Currently I??m not using it. I have a 911 button in a lousy place and I was afraid I would hit it by accident. That??s why I??m not using it. Had I noticed there was no ringe??
Does this phone have Caller ID?
Answer: No.
does the red light act as a voice message indicator?
Answer: Sorry, no. Only flashes for incoming calls. Works great when ringer bell is turned off.
