I shopped all over Amazon site for the highest phone rating and for me this is the one that met all my expectations. It has all the bells and whistles you expect from a small corded phone. You can use it as a desk phone or convert it to a wall phone. USEFUL ADVISE: To convert the phone from desktop phone to wall mounted phone, MAKE SURE TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!. The phone comes with a bracket that needs to be rotated 180 degrees and re-attached in order to fit a standard wall telephone line bracket.

Just okay … basic phone that works. I purchased it to replace the cordless phone in my bedroom so I wouldn’t have to worry about whether it was charged.

Pros:
– Trimline … doesn’t take up much space
– Three levels of volume control

Cons:
– Cord that inserts into Wall did not fit. Had to remove one from a phone already installed/in use somewhere else in the house.
– I got this to put by my bed. Coiled cord is too short. When you pick up the receiver and try to talk … the phone falls off the bed side table. Just slides right off. It is too light to stay in place… no matter where you put it. This is more than annoying.
– Biggest problem I have is that I cannot see the display unless I’m standing right over the phone with a good light on. So I still keep a cordless phone in the room that announces who is calling. The caller ID on this phone is totally useless to me.

Yes, I know it is easy to charge a phone. However, as the sole caregiver to my 90 year old mother who is ill, remembering to charge all the phones is not something I consistently remember to do. So I want a reliable phone nearby that I can rely on.

So, this phone is going into the Salvation Army box.

Why can’t anyone produce a phone that is worth having? I’m glad I haven’t gotten rid of my old phones, but caller ID would help. Will have to see if they still make the caller ID boxes that you could attach to phones. It would mean more cords, and another box … but if I remember right at least you could read them.

Customer Questions & Answers

Is the phone call coming in connected immediately after lifting the receiver or do you have to press an answer button before the call is connected? Asking if you can screen the caller id screen first before deciding to answer.
Answer: The phone is connected to the incoming caller immediatly when you lift the receiver. On the outside of the receiver is the caller ID, letting you see who is calling before you decide to answer.

This says Dect 6.0. Dect 6.0 is a wireless term. This phone is corded. What does the Dect 6.0 do on a corded phone?
Answer: The ad for the TR1909B model, which is the same but black plastic, doesn’t say DECT 6.0. Also, the specs for the phone don’t list the DECT feature. I think this is an error in the description.

Is phone display suppose to light up?
Answer: Why doesn’t the the display screen light up ? If it’s supposed to tell us how please?

Is the handset cord connected to the base using a standard phone cord connector (RJ11)?
Answer: The connector from phone company wall jack to telephone base unit is standard RJ-11. The connector from the phone base to the handset is industry standard RJ-9, like any landline phone.
