Wanted to have a landline for power or cell tower outages after cell towers in our area went out during a recent snow storm. This fits the bill and then some. Caller ID is handy so we can take calls from family members while avoiding robo calls. Love that we can choose to have ringer tured off when we don’t need the phone, and there’s a choice of low or high ringer volume when we need it.
Regular Amazon price is lower than other sellers; we chose a refurbished phone, so the price was even lower. Great buy.

It??s just a cheap phone. It not quite ??new?? but it works fine. I use it for when we get a hurricane, and the cell and WiFi is out. No battery is needed, unless you want it to store the dialing data. But, a battery is NOT needed to get a dial-tone. It??s ok. It??s a Cheap $5 phone, but supposedly refurbished. I keep it in the drawer, until I need to plug it in. It??s old technology, but it is the only thing that works sometimes. I wonder why I still pay for a land line, Lol!
